Digital Leaders

Another successful meeting for the digital leaders. This week we have been busy creating posters to inform others of internet safety and its importance. We have also started to design a poster to explain our role in the school. Keep a look out for our posters to help keep you safe.

Hello and welcome to a new term of digital leaders. The role of our leaders is to ensure all digital equipment is being looked after and to report any damages or technical issues. It is also their job to promote e-safety around school and educate family and friends at home on the importance of being online safe.  As part of this our leaders will be creating their own e-safety posters to help remind everyone of the online risks that are out there and how to avoid them so look out for these in and around school.  As well as this the leaders will be going behind the lens to help take pictures and videos of our theme days/weeks and all the fantastic whole school events we hold.  It will be lovely to see these special times through the eyes of the students.

Well done to the digital leaders on doing their first assembly to the rest of ks2. They showed them a power-point (added below) to explain how to be safe online. We looked at good and bad things about the internet, reducing screen time, how to access support it we need it and much more. Please have a look at the power-point added below.

You all did great and I am looking forward to our next assembly.

Welcome to our page, Digital Leaders. We are a new group in school and have been chosen due to our passion for computing. We meet up once a week to learn new skills and develop skills that we already have. Some of us have chosen to focus on photo editing, for example, as taking photos is a big part of everyday life in 2022.

We will keep you updated with our adventure. Our first task is to prepare and deliver a power-point presentation to the rest of the school on e-safety. We will keep you updated with our progress.
