Dr Jo Sharp - Co-Chair of Governors
"I am extremely proud to be a governor at St John's Thornham. My daughter attended the school and I have been a Foundation Governor since 2012. I was Chair of the Resources Committee since 2018 and Vice-Chair of Governors from 2019 - 2023. I accepted the role of Co-Chair alongside Mrs Janet Abbott in September 2023.
As a Pharmacologist and Programme Manager in my day job I have a keen interest in Science and I am Science Link Governor as well as Health and Safety Governor for St John's. St John's children have a building in an amazing landscape and I am proud to be part of the team that ensures they get the best out of their environment. St John's is a creative, inspiring, caring school and I hope to continue being a governor, supporting the school and the staff and ultimately ensuring the children of today and the future have the best time at Primay school and are the best young people they can be."
