This term Inventors will be learning how to tie knots. One group have already practiced the timber hitch, they then had a race to see if the hitch would hold fast onto their log.

Mrs Hunter has given us a bat box to place in the school grounds. Last week Inventors learned all about bats. First they did a true false quiz to see what they knew about bats, some fact they learned were:
Bats are furry
British bats hibernate in winter
Bats are not blind
Bats eat insects
Some children walked round the school field to look for a suitable place to put the bat box. Another group made an origami bat.
This half term in Forest School we are taking part in the big bird watch for RSPB.
Inventors have learned a lot about native birds this half term in order to identify them for the RSPB bird count. They made their own i dial and did a missing letter quiz.
