W.C 10th November 2025
On Monday, Creators and Discoverers made a large poppy natural artwork collecting leaves and sorting them into the reddest leaves, the greenest leaves and the darkest they could find around the outdoor area. On Thursday, Explorers were making mini structures that might keep a fairy or elf warm and dry. By the end of the week when it was time for Inventors, Pioneers and Adventurers to have Forest School there were severe weather warnings as storm Claudia was underway. We stayed inside and made maps of the outdoor areas in our school ensuring we identified the main features, ready for completing a biodiversity survey in a future session.
W.C 3rd November 2025
This week Creators and Discoverers learnt a little about the gunpowder plot and why we celebrate bonfire night. They learned the rhyme "Remember, remember the 5th of November" and made their own firework pictures using found natural materials.

Later in the week we started to look at Remembrance and what this means. Explorers created poppies finding the reddest leaves they could and chopping them up to stick to a paper poppy.
Inventors made 'God's Eye' poppies, weaving wool between 2 sticks to make a cross shape and they put them in the ground near the path up to school.
Adventurers made the wreath to take to church next week.
