The children in year 2 received their certificates today for completing the Young Leaders Award.
Year 2 Young Leaders Award Litter Pick
As part of their final task for the Young Leaders Award, Year 2 ventured out on a very soggy afternoon to the community gardens where they completed their final litter pick with Miss Foley and Mr Barnes-Moran. Despite the dreadful weather, everyone was in good spirits to be doing their bit for the community. Everyone worked brilliantly as a team! We look forward to receiving our certificates soon! As part of our Team work unit of the Young Leaders award Year 2 started to focus on our school environment. We decided to do a team litter pick in our school grounds. Pupils worked so well together to make our school a better place.
Year 2 Young Leaders have had a great morning participating in lots of different team work activities. They were fantastic at working together to solve problems through their speaking and listening skills. We are now thinking about how we can work as a team to complete a whole school challenge! Wish us luck!
Year two have been leaders teaching different skills- today we learnt some fantastic painting skills. We showed great perseverance and concentration. We look forward to starting our team work sessions next week.
Two of our Young Leaders have been teaching new skills to other pupils. We learnt how to make a paper dog and take a penalty in football. Everyone was very encouraging especially our Young Leaders! Well done Year Two!
During this session our Year 2 Leaders have been learning about Perserverance. They have created a "Stick at it stick" to remind them to perservere when things get tricky!
