Collective Worship

Daily collective worship is a legal requirement in all schools, as outlined in the Education Act 1944, as amended by the Education Reform Act 1988. Collective worship in church schools aims to promote and reflect the school's Anglican foundation. It provides a space for children to explore spiritual and moral issues, consider their own beliefs and an opportunity to reflect on what is of ultimate worth in people’s lives. Collective worship based on broadly Christian virtues and values and is inclusive of pupils and staff of all faiths and beliefs, inviting participation and refection. Worship will draw on a variety of sources, including stories, readings, hymns or songs, drama, allowing a time of reflection to allow children to respond personally, perhaps through a time of silence. It also acknowledges and enables children to make a personal choice of reverence, prayer or response.

The worship of the school is based on promoting our school values of belief, love, patience, togetherness, hope and respect which permeate the ethos of our school.  These values are embodied in the New Commandment that Jesus gave us:

John 13:34-35 “...love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another, then everyone will know that you are my disciples”.

This is where our school motto- ‘Love 2 Learn and Love 1 Another’ is taken from and it helps us to live out God’s word in our day to day lives.

Keep up to date with our new build as it develops. Have a look at the photographs and drone footage in the All About Us tab! It is wonderful to see the school from the old to the newest parts as well as the current build!
