This half term the weather will hopefully start to get warmer. We will be looking for signs of spring and there may even be some eggs around towards the final weeks.

Discoverers children were making the magic faraway tree this week on a willow that has been cut down as they read this book on world book day. Some children were finding mini beasts and creating them habitats, while others were getting creative with found materials, seeing what they could weave or construct.

This week we started looking for signs of spring. The children noticed there were lots of buds appearing on the trees and a few flowers. Explorers were finding 2 parts to make 7. It was very wet during Adventurers time and so they stayed in the classroom and made flower presses from recycled materials.

This week there were lots of Forest School kitchens being constructed and lots of interesting concoctions coming from them. We had mud pies, rock biscuits, volcano cake and more.
