Week 10- The crane arrived on Monday and by teatime the steels had started to go up. By the end of the week the shell of our new build is in place. The children have loved watching the crane positioning the steels in place!
Week 9- Over the Easter holidays and this week the builders have been busy preparing the site for the arrival of the steel beams on Monday. The foundations are ready and we are excited to see the structure start to take shape.
Week 6- This week the foundations have been dug out and concreted, the hoarding painted and bolt boxes made to fit and hold concrete to support the building.
Week 6- The builders cabins are now on site and the hoardings erected ready to paint. The attenuation tank is complete and the foundation steels cages assembled ready to be put in position. The diggers have started forming the foundation tracks. A busy week on site!
Week 5- This week the pilling for the foundation works were completed, more drainage work carried out and deliveries arrived containing the hoarding board materials to build the fencing. Next week the builders cabins will arrive so they have their own amenities throughout the build.
Week 4- This week the builders have put in an attenuation tank to hold back rain water, created manholes and prepared the grounds ready for foundation works. They will be working over the weekend on the pile foundations to underpin the new structure.
Week 3- The builders have completed the path and the temporary playground so we can more freely around the school grounds. The steps have been taken down today and the site cleared ready for the foundations to be dug. The site cabins and wooden fence will arrive next week!
week 2- The builders have worked hard over the course of the week to dig up and flatten the new area ready for a temporary playground we can use for PE and playtimes during the build. Look out for the truck delivering the tarmac early next week and the roller flattening it out!
Week 1- Over the half term the builders have taken away the old MUGA and trim trail and carefully removed the spider climbing frame which will be stored and repostioned when the build is completed. This week the builders are busy setting up the site. They are putting paths in place and creating a temporary playground for use during the build. The new multi use play area will be the last thing to be built when the school grounds are landscaped.
Keep up to date with our new build as it develops. Have a look at the photographs and drone footage in the All About Us tab! It is wonderful to see the school from the old to the newest parts as well as the current build!
